There is just too much local contrast in the clouds IMHO which detracts from the real subject. |

You are absolutely right! I had set the camera on A mode (as I do 95% of the times) and it picked up 1/30s. I really should start thinking more about shutter speed but most of the times for my shooting it isn't all that relevant. In this case and since flash was used I could have gotten away with a much faster one. |
