DSCN9942a.jpgby dsa157Comment: Gosh, this is beautiful! Go back and take it again for the sacred places challenge, David! Add a little DoF, while you're at it. The farther parts look a little OOF on my screen.
Nevertheless, a wonderful composition with great light, color and 3D feeling. |

White shadow of captured freshness (in-camera effect)by LouisonComment: Originally posted by K-Rob: Nice effect. Let me guess....shot on a yellow background using the "Negative" mode on your camera. Very good use of that rarely used feature. |
You win! This is straight out of camera, except for size, of course. |

In The Roughby jimmythefishComment: This is a fun shot! Obviously, it's a funny and great idea, but also the light falls perfectly on it, it's perfectly exposed and the colors are excellent. Well done! |

All aloneby amazoneeaComment: This is one sweet cat shot. It has a lot of emotive weight to it and the fact that the kitten is not facing the camera/viewer gives it more impact, in my opinion. The light is very interesting, too, althought there are a few burnt spots. |

Fractions of lightby LouisonComment: Originally posted by Simplicity: intriguing photo...what is it? Nice job. I like the colors. |
It is a blue marble in a pudding bowl with a rippled texture, set on a watercolor (done by a artist friend) and lit from the bottom (between the watercolor and the bowl).
