Closing the door, and getting the outlet out of the frame would have been real cool. You could have cropped it vertically, leaving the subject centered at the bottom and increased your score dramatically.

Colored paint would have been cool! The brush is not in focus, which is probably caused by low lighting and an auto-focus camera, if I could take a guess as to why. Possibly no tripod used either. Excellent black background though!

Reminds me of a shot in the shape challenge, mound of snow or something like that. Same guy? I don't know. But this one has some depth of field and a repeating pattern which adds interest.
