The First of Many Clichesby TrickyBuddhaComment: I'm only guessing, but are the colors of the walls and door off? The interesting thing, to me, about this one, is the way it almost looks like you're looking down a stairwell instead of up.... |

The palm of my neighborby manoloComment: I like the idea here -- interesting contrast between abstract and concrete -- I wish the palm tree were in focus (windy day?) -- and that the blue arch followed it's line more perfectly instead of looking like a chunks missing right where it hits the left hand side of the image -- perhaps a slightly different camera angle? |

Desertby mattpgaComment: Very cool. Nice DOF, good colors. I'd like the cactus to lean a bit more to the left. |

a quiet dayby lecookComment: Very pretty pic -- and while I think you do need some kind of foreground focal element, the ball (?) seems so out of place. Maybe that's what you were going for, if so great. If not, maybe a large rock in its place? |

The Sky's The Limitby midnight442Comment: I would have scored this one higher -- I think the idea has possibility -- but the clouds are so blown out -- it's almost as if you have blue clouds in a white sky -- did you have to play with the levels or the camera's metering to get the wall to show up at the expense of an overly bright sky? Maybe shooting at another time of day when the son could either create highlights and shadows on the wall -- or at least make the sky a little less bright... |

Spirit of Saint Louisby insipidangelComment: Initially, I wasn't certain I liked the way this was so over adjusted (whether in camera or in computer doesn't matter) but the lok grew on me. I think I'd like it better if it were either more centered on the two middle switches or more off center. |

From the groundup horse they make dog food.by David EyComment: it almost looks like the dog is "dreaming" of the horse -- I find the logs on the right, and all the space on the left unnecessary to the idea you seem to be presenting, perhaps a vertical crop? The dog is also a lot brighter than the rest of the image (a flash, I'd guess) which would maybe be OK, except the horse seems to be the same color, just unlit... |
