Flying on the Waterby d95vetteComment: B&W vs. Color issus aside, well timed shot. My major suggestion would be to crop this vertically -- it would emphasize how high he is in the air and also give him less photo space to land in -- almost make it feel like he's gonna soar completely out of the shot. (I'd probably crop in such a way that the boat was still in the shot and way up in the right hand corner.) |

Chive Flowerby KarenBComment: This is very pixellated but kinda cool because of it. Assuming that the artifacts aren't something you wanted, trying shooting at a larger image size and a higher quality -- then adjust these things to fit the rules in an image editing program. As for this picture itself, you might want to try to move other flowers out of the way so that only the one you really want the picture of is in the frame. This doesn't apply so much to the bloom in the lower right as it does the few petals I'm seeing in the upper right. |

my big Moo.....n!by princewaiComment: Cool. Telescope attachment for your camera? The focus is undeniably where it needs to be -- on the craters on the horizon -- but the rest seems a little blurry. I wonder if that's an optical illusion. (Just talking aloud, has no bearing on your score.) You could have removed that band of yellow that follows the edge by completely desaturating to a pure B&W and then bringing a little bit more color in by colorizing and adjusting hue and saturation until you got the tint you wanted. (All if you have PS of course -- in another program, not entirely sure how you'd do it.) |

Another Form of Self-Discoveryby parloriComment: Fun photo. I wish the colors were a little bit less orange/yellow (specifically the background). I know this would be an easy process in Photoshop -- but I don't know what image editing program you're using. |

The disguise of Innocenceby cthenkComment: Cute photo, wish the child was scooted over to the left a few inches in the photo (rule of thirds kind of thing). Also, while I like the bricks (they make a nice seat for him) I wish the background window (?) was more simple -- at least to remove the reflections. |

Glass Housesby mciComment: Very nice. Only two "I wish" comments: First is that the streak/scratch/crack that's running through her eye wasn't there. Second, that we didn't have the edge of the glass/plexiglass over on the right hand side -- I almost took it for another crack -- maybe even if it had a cracked edge, instead? |

wonder in wonderland ...by magnetic9999Comment: OK, so I know it's not intentional, but I like how she's looking at the 10 on the voting score.... :-) The colors (the red and green) definitely aren't standard, but they all work really well together. Her face loks a little grainy, sharpened, over saturated or something (I can't quite tell what it is that I'm seeing -- sorry), but I like the look it gives to the shot. There's that little loop of something on the far right edge that I could wish wasn't there, but that's not that big a deal. Good shot. |

Lunch Time at the Gas Stationby tydComment: I'm not sure if the focus is intentionally a bit soft (to give a feeling of reminiscence) or not, but I feel like this needs to be a little sharper. I don't know if that's a "model" or if this is a grab shot, but if a model, I might have tried a slightly different location so the poster doesn't cut off the head in the reflection. |

April in May by connieComment: Nicely done. I'm guessing some people won't like the overexposure on the right, but it works for me. I've looked for suggestions to offer, and simply can't find any. So there ya are. |

Memmoriesby rastafar1Comment: I like the idea here, but that yellow portion in the upper left detracts from the over all mood for me -- perhaps it means something different to you. Also, it looks like there's a thread or something by the mouth of the person on the right. |
