Bogglingby wayneComment: Just a little dark. I like the idea of red but red lights always seem to screw up a photo more than help em when used as the sole light source. Use of natural light with a red light highlighter gets a better effect often and gives you more options for photo editing. |

Strip Pokerby KimblyComment: Cheater , cheater!! :-) Nice subject. I like the skin tone here. I would love to see this exact same shot in color with saturation down but a red ace of hearts on her belly. That image just popped into my head when I first saw this shot. It is usually a good thing when a photo makes me think of other options...it means the idea is a good one to start with :-) |

you sunk my battleshipby eyegoComment: I can see where you are going with the red lighting effect but its very hard to use red lighting in a home environment and get the drama you see on TV. The all red lighting you see on many movies is actually supplemtned VERY heavy with white light and highlighted with red. Good way to get red light real well is with flashlights. Get 2, use one with a white bulb and one with a red bulb or red plastic over the lense and play with the various angles. This is light cheap stage lighitng. |

Chess Movesby machworksComment: My favorite people shot of the week (cept for mine :-) Love the guy in the hat, glasses and coat. He is stylish whether he intended to be or not and makes the shot..which I am sure is why you took his photo:-) |

Cops and Robbers Anyone?by d95vetteComment: Cant make my mind up if cutting her head off works or not. Maybe if you would have found a black party mask, black hankercheif with holes cut in it ala Zorro you could have gotten here head in while maintaining mystery. I just think the combo of cutting her head off and too much blue foreground throws me off a bit. But I think this is well photographed and a good idea. |

The Pez Wars (now for PS2)by heartsdivideComment: Fantastic potential here. Really. Just looks rushed. If you use a backdrop iron the wrinkles out. and make your fabric folds subtle. Table top lighting needs to be more than one source unless you go for a very dramatic shadow effect... A big pile of pez in all colors with some zany cross lighting would have added to the drama. Get several flashlights for cheap spotlighting effects and even put colored plastic on the flashlight for some cheap effects. |

Through the looking glass by CoreyComment: Best of the water glass shots, and that is saying something since I contributed a water glass shot this week. You have a better depth of field than any other and great idea of upside element. One of my ten best. |

Untitledby mciComment: Great photo, great subject deserves a great score. The blackest blacks are not quite perfectly black on my monitor but you still get a 10 and one of my 5 best this week. |

dang... by iraeComment: If this is a rip-off of another poster then you only get an 8 but I am going to assume this is original and as such deserves a 10 and to win this week . On of my 5 best shots this week and my favorite. If there is one thing wrong with this photo I ant to hear about it cause I am missing it. Perfection. |
