Cherry Pieby drewmediaComment: Best untraditional try at the challenge and well executed. The colors work, sex sells, and the graphic on her underwear is great....very manipulative..I like it...8..hokie |

Son of 'Son of Man' (Magritte Revisited)by ClubJuggleComment: Very unique. Creativity gets high marks from me and precise control of camera technique helps pull it together. The only nits I have with the image is I was looking for a bit better detail in the hat/suit..its pretty dark on my monitor and my monitor is calibrated for magazine ad work (meaning as good as it gets). Plus the background is a bit close causing a lineup shadow..If you could have had a backlit piece of plexiglass as a backdrop at about 6 feet back thats how most studio shots are done. Still..exceptional..8..hokie |

Splash!by hokieComment: My only real regret with this shot was not getting the background white enough and not getting the splash bigger. I thought about a black background but I felt it lost that "Sparkly and Fresh" feel I wanted to project. I am new with stop action and it was a trip trying ot do it with a slow reacting digicam! Just trying to explore as many techniques as I can :-) |

Heaven Above, Banana Belowby chariotComment: this started off as a 5 and moved up every day....Great use of negative space, nice action implied..good subject....applauds you on keeping the bannana from getting brown becasue they get brown very fast and that would have severely detracted from the cleaness of shot Ther person and bannana dont pop off the page as much as I would like but still very nice...8...hokie |

Vier Erdbeerenby mciComment: What a great shot...I was truly dissappointed at the background as this really..really takes away from one of the best shots this week. Still..the stop action is first rate...the berries..while a bit strange having whole berries including stems in a cereal bowl does not hurt too badly and helps overall shape and texture..but the very bad background is KILLING this shot....still...8.....hokie |

pepper oneby LanSnakeComment: As a big fan of Weston I can appreciate this. Very nice control of contrast and highlights. A bit more texture in this shot would have really spiced it up for me..still..very high quality..8...hokie |

Left out to dryby JonniboyComment: Very organic and nice black and white...a little more detail (the roots not cut off..) of the top of the onion would have scored higher with me personal preference on a nice shot:-)...8..hokie |

Sun Kisses by ShiiizzzamComment: Fantastic idea. Love the color. it seems as if the shot was done indoors against a window. I would have liked a more translucent appearance to the lemon and greater surface detail..still..very nice 8..hokie |

Too Much Pressureby lionelmComment: Very clean graphic image, exceptional control of the camera and lighting and obvious knowledge of compositional structure...just missed that little bit of energy to me but nearly perfect..9..hokie |
