I think this should've scored higher. It's definitely a candid moment that made a lot of sense to me, maybe because I have a daughter and I know how she reacts to displays like that, AND I've known plenty of men to act the same way she does :) I think it's a great capture of the man's expression and you're right, the mother and her kids add to the picture as well. I gave it an 8 and I'm disappointed that so many people gave it 5's.

I wish this shot was a little larger so we could see more detail. As it is the foreground seems to be somewhat out of focus so the whole photo blends together. I like the idea behind this though.

*Excellent* detail on the bird! The only thing that detracts from the photo is that it's tail is cropped off. Besides that it's perfect for this challenge and a great shot overall.

Seems as if his sweater is more in focus than his face, but other than that I think this is a very good shot. I like the crop and the expression. Nice colors in the "bokeh".

Great bokeh, nice composition, fantastic capture of that look/expression. I do wish his other elbow wasn't chopped off in the crop, but that's not really a big deal. One of my favorites so far :)
