Cactus glowby MelethiaComment: I can see the detail on the leaves on my laptop. If it's tilted a little though it's dark. I can never really tell on my own pictures with my laptop. |

Redheadby garfieldComment: Greetings from the Critique Club!
Ouch, last place!?? I think that's a little bit harsh. You received some helpful comments during voting and I have to agree with them. It may be out of focus or just soft. That combined with the far away bird that is facing away from the viewer really seemed to hurt you with the voters. One thing that I don't really know what it is but it detracts from your image is the black dots that are everywhere except for the sky and the white on the bird. I guess it's not noise since you only used ISO 400. It might be due to the cropping but I really have no idea :S. Congratulations on the brown ribbon and good luck on your future challenge entries!

Crossing parallelsby rurikkarlComment: Greetings from the Critique Club!
Is it the water in Iceland? It seems that every photo from an Icelandic photographer is beautiful, it's just not fair :). This was one of my highest rated images in the free study. You received a solid score and getting in the top 20 is awesome! I love the snow drifting in the field and the range of light throughout the entire picture.
In regard to the negatives of this image, there are none. It would take a much more skilled photographer than me to give you any advice. In fact I shouldn't even be allowed to critique this haha. Overall it's a great image with great black and white processing, and I really hope to see you enter more challenges!

Green parkingby MelethiaComment: This is very nice, much more peaceful than cars. I wish we could ride bikes here. We have a few bike lanes but they disappear in spots and people get hit by cars a lot. But then they get ticketed for riding on sidewalks so either you get hit by a car or by a ticket.
Oh and I found this through the random image generator. |
