Is it the water in Iceland? It seems that every photo from an Icelandic photographer is beautiful, it's just not fair :). This was one of my highest rated images in the free study. You received a solid score and getting in the top 20 is awesome! I love the snow drifting in the field and the range of light throughout the entire picture.

In regard to the negatives of this image, there are none. It would take a much more skilled photographer than me to give you any advice. In fact I shouldn't even be allowed to critique this haha. Overall it's a great image with great black and white processing, and I really hope to see you enter more challenges!

Love this image, and would love to have given it a MUAIMHO but given it did well with the voters, perhaps not under appreciated... technically. Just wanted to tell you that this is great. Love the tone and the composition.

Great winter scene. So cold and windy looking.

I'm going through the entries, stopping at those images I feel have had the benefit of an unconventional eye and dwelling a little longer to try to see and appreciate what you saw. This is one of those images.

Positives: This is really fabulous! This crossing parallels contribute immensely to the image and the mist around the pylon is really compelling. The sky is full of drama too and the high local contrast of the foreground complements this.

Critical stuff: Nothing at all

Overall: Very effective image - very well made.
