Birthplace of the Chinook Windsby hahn23Comment: Lovely processing, Richard, as well as great scenery. I lived in Calgary back in the 1970s and was fascinated by the Chinook winds, with the prominent arch of stratus clouds and the sudden rise in temperatures we would get for a day or two. |

grungy opby LevTComment: I love this (but then I'm a abstract pattern junkie). However, I think the image you submitted was by far the better choice for this challenge. It was one of my top scoring images. |

_MG_4247-eby BrennanOBComment: I see that in the "outtakes" thread the opinion goes the other way (N=2 there as it does here). I still prefer this one, but the margin of preference has shrunk a little. ! |

Just Playby JulietNNComment: Nero? Overall a very strong image. The silhouette of the hand and the frog end of the bow is an especially nice touch, that grabbed my interest before my eyes moved on into the rest of the image and somehow "anchors" the image for me in a way that adds a lot. |

Peaceful time on the Beachby whiterookComment: I find this a slightly strange yet powerful image. I like its abstractness. For some reason I wish you had not titled it as the title seems to limit the interpretation of this image. |

Disingenuous melancholyby daisydavidComment: Interesting image and lovely light on the headdress. I find the background distracting, especially the bright light in the upper left. Perhaps there is some symbolism associated with that light that I am missing, since this is a fine arts challenge. |

u n t i t l e d by bmilneComment: I assume the lack of focus on the face is deliberate. That, the expression, and the crop provide a feeling of remoteness, but I wonder if the same effect could have been achieved just as well with the face in focus. Lovely details and areas of light in the shawl and her hair. |
