Uprootedby goinskiingComment: I love the textures in the fallen tree and the patterns of snow covered trees in the background. On my monitor the large areas of snow feel a bit too bright, but I'm really enjoying this. Did you consider a horizontal flip? I think that would have been an even stronger image. |

And then, suddenly, the rain stopped. by ThingFishComment: Exquisite. So many different features to enjoy, lines and circles, color and muted tones, areas of texture and areas of stillness. All achieving a harmonious whole. Then those two birds just put this over the top.. |

Spring in a Bottleby grahamgatorComment: Lovely delicate image. I'm not sure about the fallen petals, in particular that close to the frame. To my eyes, a large area of negative space with nothing else there might work very well with this. |

Geomancyby hesitantComment: That's an interesting looking building on the right and I like the pair of leading lines. Good detail. Well seen. |

Fire Fallby snsComment: I recognize this as Yosemite's Horsetail Fall lit at sunset from other photos and know that this only occurs in February, but if I didn't, and only gave this a quick glance I might not find this image as interesting. It took me time to appreciate it. |

TV Umpire; descision pending...by HarveyGComment: I can hear "How's that", even now, echoing down the years !! Nice action shot with a relatively low POV. Great to catch all that action, the bails mid air, the young man airborne. But the image does not seem to be horizontal, which is a shame.
I played cricket at school many years ago and vaguely recall that the bat or some part of the body has to be actually "grounded" inside the crease before the bails fall in order to be "not out", so I'm guessing this young man was "out".! |
