The road to San Gimignano, Tuscanyby jonpinkComment: Outstanding image, I like it a lot. If there would be something to change, it would maybe be the position of the tree, maybe not a central position??? I'm not sure. I'd guess this will end up high, maybe it will get a ribbon.

Iceland biggest church, Hallgrimskirkjaby JohannesFrankComment: I like the composition of this photo, but it's like the outline and the bright sunlit part of the church is overburnt. If this would be in a travelling book, the title "tower of terror" would fit better - the beautiful church looks a bit scary and spooky like this. Over all I think this is a good photo, good luck! |

NYCby JPRComment: This photo is truly the winner of this challenge for me. The clouds are just great and they surely make this photo outstanding. I will be very disappointed if this photo of yours will not have at least a ribbon! Congrats in advance! |

Enchantedby siggiComment: Well, congrats on your 4th highest avg vote (that will be the 5th very soon!(-:). At least above average scoring, 60% isn't very bad. Keep up the good work. |

Framed in blue.by cathysappComment: This doesn't meet the challenge's detail: "Capture an image where the foreground subject frames the rest of the image." There isn't even a foreground subject there. Maybe you didn't read the details, I'm sorry you didn't. This is a good photo with good bright colors (maybe you've overdone with saturation a little). It meets the challenge theme like you "explained" in the title, but not the detail, I think you'll suffer for that. |

In Playby ClubJuggleComment: Great photo, but it doesn't meet the challenge details good enough: "Capture an image where the foreground subject frames the rest of the image." This isn't a forground subject, I'm sorry, the round frames the players, but it goes around them and is in the background and maybe partly in the foreground. But I like the photo, it meets the "framing" theme without the details. Message edited by author 2004-09-09 05:15:15. |

Can hope fix everything?by AmasonComment: Thanks Johanna (or should I say Theresa!? (-:), and many thanks to all of you who left comments. Some people requested a DQ, 'they' maybe thought I used burning and dodging tools, I can understand that. But that wasn't the fact as you can see if you read the 'Photographer's Comments' now. I'm very happy with 94%, I didn't expect that with this photo, 94% is my highest yet. I, myself found the light beams on the wall infront of me in the door opening and also on the ground far to the left distracting. If allowed, I would have used the burning tool there. |
