Michelobby bobgaitherComment: The brand name is repeated too many times here, alongside eveyr possible beer ad cliche... it's not very nicely composed or framed. |

red cliff and waterfallby sulamkComment: Beautiful! The colours are great and the lighting is a little harsh but not badly. Images of moving water are often enhanced by a long exposure time, I've found. In this case it would create a glassy effect to the water with a haze from the spray, but maybe you don't want that. The path of the waterfalls gives me the same feeling I get from Chinese landscape painting, ie. my eyes want to wander all around the picture. |

Upwardby dlhComment: Very interesting composition... somehow it reminds me of 1920s socialist propaganda, although I'm not sure why :). The ladder creates a sense of purpose, the converging lines and geometric shapes are interesting and somehow the lack of contrast works. I just think it's a bit dull though. |

Water Pinesby DannyComment: Nothing really stands out in this photo. It doesn't really hold my interest, even though the reflection on the water is pretty. It's a bit flat, really. |

Up the CN Towerby davewComment: I think this photo is framed exactly right for the subject matter, and the converging lines terminated by the circular top of the tower are great. But It's not that interesting a subject to me. It's very technical and architectural. |

The Longest Mileby CoreyComment: Very interesting, in a kind of art deco way :). The amount of contrast is very pleasing. The only thing that distracts me is that the vanishing point is slightly off-centre. The interplay of light and shadow on those steps is engaging. |

Spin Cycleby connieComment: Hmm... it's an interesting photo, I like the hand especially, but the clothes basket set off against the gridlines on the ceiling is cool too. It just doesn't seem to tell an interesting story. As a scene in a movie it might establish an interesting mood, but on its own it doesn't really grab me. |

asunderby lauComment: There are lots of interesting things in this photo but it's one of those ones where I feel like the elements don't mesh together to provide a whole piece, rather they compete for attention. Eg., the house in the background, the vertical posts, the wet floorboards, and the carpet... nothing takes the focus, everything causes a distraction from everything else. One thing on its own would have been a better subject. |
