Amorby chariotComment: I love the expression on the girl's face, and the way the water reflection and the trees in the distant background create such a sense of sharpness to the outline of the couple. |

Crossingby rdesaiComment: I love this photo! There's such a huge sense of scale, the sky and water dwarfing the two figures. In the midst of what seems like a chaotic environment, the father looks after the son and protects him. It's a great mood and a great achievement. 10 - lisae |

Red Hot and Pinkby TSaylorsComment: Hehe, unfortunately heavy makeup under a camera's harsh flash makes a woman look rather like a drag queen.... but maybe it's for that reason that I like this one :). I'm a bit proccupied with the way women are always supposed to be photographed in a "flattering" way... I like this because it's so natural and fun, and neither of these women seem to care at all about the photographer getting their "good side". |

Eye Contactby hokieComment: Beautiful... I love the textures brought up by the black and white, and the composition here. There's something about the shape of a horse's head when you look at it directly from the front. I'm giving this 10 - lisae |

Pretzel Timeby iggy386Comment: I like the composition of this, and the colourisation was a bold move (I guess to make the most of a low-end camera), but it doesn't really work for me. It creates a very dramatic feeling when there's nothing to back it up in the image itself. The subject looks contemplative, not as excited as the garish colour would suggest. |

size does matter!!!!by JEFFCOWLESComment: Funky image! That eye is a bit scary :). I love the way the hair is spread out over the background. Somehow I think I'd prefer this if it was processed a bit more to really emphasise the dramatic composition, with brighter colours and more contrast. But nice work nonetheless. |

Speed Racer!by KarenBComment: Great panning shot! The expression on the kid's face is very cool. Nice work. |

Beach Treasures....by discomushroom11Comment: Very strong composition and colours. It directs my eye very strongly to the line between the girl's eyes and her hand, making me curious to see what she's looking at. Nice work. A good example of how a centred subject can often be very effective. |

Spyingby eloComment: That's very cute! Nicely captured, nicely framed and composed. For some reason I love the way their hair spirals... it's such a boy thing, makes me want to pat them on the head :). The feeling is of spying on the kids as they spy on someone else, and that if they find out they're being watched they'll jump up and act innocent. Nice mood, in other words :) |

For Rent: Desperateby JakComment: Great mood! There's such a sense of hopelessness here, it's very intense. The sign, the bars on the window, the textures of the street, and the parking meter all meld with the woman's posture to create a very familiar and poignant feeling for me. One of my 10s - lisae |
