Undersideby jomariComment: Looks like a cratered planetary surface -- very nice effect. I can also see it as a texture or part of a composite ... |

Mar 27 - Bluebellsby hajekaComment: Beautiful color, effective DOF -- I wish we had some of those growing around here. :-) |

Mar 08 - Downby hajekaComment: I'm only "familiar" with a couple of escalators that long/high near here (in San Francisco) -- not a good look for acrophobes though! |

mollyby rozComment: Well done use of backup equipment! At least on my screen it is way sharper/in focus than any cat photos I've been able to get (look at the detail in the irises). I like your crop and that tip of the tongue is like a ribbon/bow on the package. |

into and out of the frameby rozComment: Very nice sequence.
You can try to "punch up" colors under the Minimal rule set using the Unsharp Mask filter with a high-radius setting; in Photoshop you can start with (for a DPC entry sized image):
Amount=15%
Radius=50 pixels
Threshold=0 |

DPC March Side Challenge 3by wbanningComment: Originally posted by wbanning: Originally posted by roz: i'm making an assumption .. altho i know that assumptions are often wrong .. that they disobeyed the signs too ... |
There must have been 15-20 people that came up the trail during our time there. Not one of them stopped a the sign. The large boulders in the foreground here are the reason for the signs. Everyone (apparently myself included) thinks they won't fall when they're underneath them. |
Maybe those signs would be more effective if signed by "Murphy" himself ...
Pretty good for a starting shot -- I wonder if you could have used a different filter simulation to retain the pink hats? |

multi-exposure1by MargaretNetComment: I like how it looks more and more like a drawing the farther "into" the picture you look.
If you like the effect, it's not hard to create your own PS actions, even if you want to include options to change settings in the middle of the process. Feel free to PM me with specific questions. |
