Animal Instinctby Prime_TimeComment: This shot looks a little jagged, as though it was either compressed too much or over-sharpened. The composition would be stronger if the model's hand wasn't cut off by the edge of the frame. |

Nude Recliningby hblakeComment: And they say that the camera adds 10 pounds. The background is distracting, and the lighting is a bit harsh. I realize that this was entered in jest, but I think that you could have produced a ribbon contender with this model if you'd tried. For example, a view of the curved spine and into the rib cage could have produced some interesting results if well lit. |

black and white studyby graphicfunkComment: Something about the way that your model's arms and legs are huddled so close to her body make her look a little too self-conscious. I'd prefer that she be looking at something less directly overhead, as her nostrils are rather prominent in her current position. The scene is nicely lit. |

Whitewashby duncesComment: A little less light on your model's chest would allow the shadows to bring out her curves. The message conveyed by her pursed lips conflicts with the openness suggested by the position of her arms; a less restrained smile would go a long way. I'm not generally a fan of high-key photos, but aside from the lack of definition on her over-illuminated breasts you did a nice job lighting her; the catchlight is nicely done. |

Body Artby SonifoComment: This pose reminds me of the photo on the cover of Guido Argentini's book Silvereye. Your model's pose from the waist down looks rather dynamic, while from the torso up she appears rather relaxed; I think that the composition would work better if there was a more dynamic element element in the top half of the image (e.g. a double exposure of her arms like this and with them reaching for the corners of the frame, or if her hair was being tossed by the wind). I like the tattoo on her lower back, but the ones on her legs throw off the balance somewhat. |

Myself.by TranquilComment: Is that you, nico_blue? I find the necklace distracting, primarily because it's several stops brighter than anything else. The eye at the corner of the frame draws my attention and makes me wonder what's going on offscrean; in most cases this is a bad thing, but I think that it works to your advantage here. I think that the eye would have been a greater asset to this picture if the surrounding socket was visible, which would help to convey more emotional information; a stronger catchlight would have helped to. |

In Darkness Let Me Dwell...by jasm8Comment: This would be a more emotive photograph if the look on the man's face were a bit more intense &/or distinct. Based only on his facial expression I can't rule out the possibility that he's been photographed while beginning to yawn. A visible source of his emotion (e.g. a stack of bills, a fallen telephone receiver, etc.) would also increase the impact. Higher contrast and perhaps a bit of burning / darkening would also help to improve this image. |

Lusciousby inspir8tionComment: This photograph would be stronger if the top edge of the model's lips weren't cut off by the edge of the frame. |

Time for Meby CalliopeKelComment: The crop seems a little too aggressive at the bottom and right edges. The strong horizontal lines in the blinds reveal that the camera wasn't level. This tutorial explains how to fix uneven horizons. Good job on the lighting. |

BLING BLINGby mandyturnerComment: This image looks a little flat. Stronger directional light or adding items to the composition (e.g. beads of water clinging to the skin) would have added interest. |
