Insaniteaby gyabanComment: This was my only 10 in the challenge. A wonderful example of creativity and photography as art. I was certain this would be the blue but it's nice to see another great image of yours as a comeback after the recent DQ's. You are truly an inspiration. Keep it up!
ETA: My profile view shows 9 images wide.. I see you have 8 blues and 1 red on your profile as I see it... you'd better try harder next time and reach for that full spread of blue across the page! Message edited by author 2011-03-08 11:49:56. |

Exileby peterComment: Great leading lines and tones. Nicely balanced between ground and sky too. Not sure it needed the border really. |

Let's sit and talkby manishComment: Nice to see something different to all the sunsets and portraits that always adorn the free studies. If I was being a tiny bit picky I would have taken 10 minutes to clone out the leaves at the top right to neaten up the image (perfectly allowed in advanced editing). |

Windsweptby prperoldComment: There are always a hatful of beach/sun shots in the free studies - almost to the point of cliché. That said, this is by far and away the best I have seen for some time. Great leading lines, beautifully exposed, and the motion generated by the wind is sublime. I would like to see this on the front page. |

Whatever Floats Your Boatby hesitantComment: Great vibrancy on the colours at the prow of the boat and I love the tones in the water - reminiscent of JulietNN's winner in the best of 2010 challenge. If I was being a tiny bit picky I'd clone out the two small boats on the right hand edge of the frame as they are minorly disctracting, but other than that a great shot and the clouds frame the rock nicely. |

The Handsome Shovelerby scooter97Comment: Really handsome yes! I would prefer however if the bird was over to the left of the frame flying into it and drawing you into the frame. |

First Lightby cools98Comment: Nice lighting from the dawn sun. I feel though that this shot would benefit from the fence in the foreground being horizontal through the picture rather than the slight slope it is on. |

Winter's Warmthby ace flymanComment: Lovely flow to the water but I really feel this would benefit from a bit of sky above to give the top of the falls some headroom. |

Fresno Water Towerby efrenComment: A great structure - I personally would prefer a much tighter crop discarding all the distracting elements around the edges. |

sunset chaserby blacksmyth2025Comment: Great silhouette with a nice dramatic sky. Have you tried it with the powerlines cloned out? Not saying it would be better, but just a suggestion. |
