I thought this might be yours until I realised it wasn't your daughter!! Decided it must have been someone elses... :-) I gave this one a five, mostly because she is running away from shot rather than into it, so there was little connection with the viewer. Not a bad effort though, clearly you panned with the runner... I agree with your comment about a sharper face helping. Not much you can do about that though except take 1000 shots and hope 1 nails it.

Man, I never realised this was yours.... I did comment on how cute it was and Lisa was loving it too... I only gave it a 5 though. Not really sure why.. cute subject but I think I felt the framing/composition was off balance.

My pick for the blue. The distant background looks a little overexposed on my laptop screen (not checked on my main comp) which may hurt your marks.

Unfortunately I don't think it will happen, but this would be my pick for the Blue. Fantastic candid and the B&W treatment is perfect for the subject matter. Lots of the usual eye candy in this challenge though so I expect you will be up against some tough competition. Good luck for a strong finish in the challenge.

Very slight tilt on the horizon spoils this otherwise glorious sunset somewhat. Nice detail in the rocks.

Great idea but I think the lighting is a bit harsh. The shadows on the marbles are fine but the shadow of the person looks a bit overwhelming.

Shame about the stray popcorn at the top left - kind of attracts the eye. May look better as a "portrait" crop rather than "landscape".
