Wonderfully rich earth tones, beautiful sky, a plethora of shapes and sizes - a top Ten image for sure if not a top Five. Richly detailed, but not overdone in any sense of the word. Well done.

Rather simplistic and overly tall image. The sky doesn't go this image any favors as it is. An improvement might be to crop a 1/3rd off the bottom to give it some pop and detail. Removing the bottom 1/3rd makes it a much better image in my opinion.

Simple and elegant, an excellent image. More like a impressionist pencil drawing than a photo. I really like this - abstract without being overly abstract if that makes any sense. Well done.

The amazing thing about this image is the incredible depth - it's almost like 3D in someways - very difficult to achieve in a black and white conversion. This is a lesson in composition and conversion that one doesn't see often. Beautifully detailed, the blacks, grays and whites are perfect - beautiful imagery. Personally, I'd call this the winner - but it's not up to me. Well done.

I like the interesting little "face" at the bottom of the tree limb and at the crook of the branch. This has a lot going for it - richly detailed, soft background but a very sharp image in the foreground. A really good image - should place in the Top Five if not win. Well done.
