city by the seaby TiberiusComment: Very nice conversion, plenty of depth and interesting details. The only serious flaw is that the image has been over sharpened - look at the hills in the foreground and that while line that separates the water - that is a sign of too much sharpening which ruins the overall impact of the image. |

On the Beachby markwileyComment: I truly appreciate the lighting effect here - the sun is not over done, just on the edge of being blown out, the reflection off the quard post - the rays from the sun - a very pleasing and welcome entry into the challenge. |

Time To Go - No Fish For Dinnerby westfordComment: There is an interesting effect in that this image is almost 3D quality. When looking at this, the eye has to refocus on things like the bridge for instance after looking at the rocks. Very interesting effect. I like the blend of color and detail - a good solid entry into the challenge - perhaps a top ten. |

Evening by the fjordby josaaComment: I suspect the photographer was going for a "dramatic" look, but it is much too dark - more exposure would have helped this - there is more detail in the back of the image than in the fore front of the image. |
