Pricklyby CJinCAComment: Interesting, but way too tall an image to be truly effective and pleasing to the eye. I might had cropped the bottom third off to increase it's overall effectiveness. Nice color control on the green. |

Bee Happy!by fantomfotoComment: This has a subject problem - the bee is the focus. Also, the offset brings the eye to the background rather the foreground. A good effort as it blends the two challenges, but thats not the challenge. :>) A slight change in angle and more of the flower would make it a good image. |

Narcissus Sylvestrisby taljComment: Unfortunate - too much yellow. If the background were lighter allowing the flower to stand out, it would have been almost perfect. Another idea would have been to use a contrasting color - not black because that would just make it cliche, but something different like a light purple or blue - magenta would be excellant. The other issue is that it's a tad over sharpened which I think the author overused to differentiate the flower from the background. Another reason to use a different background. |

Sweet and Simpleby bauerfan71Comment: Yes it is a sweet and simple image, but the extra leaf stem on the right is distracting with no context - minor flaw. The other issue is the extra light on the stem - a little less exposure with a tweak in post processing would have made this an excellant image instead of an average image. |

After the rainby picturesbykimComment: Offset a little too far to rate a perfect score - I might have back off a little and gotten a little sharper control on DOF and room to get a really good offset crop. |

Seeing flowers in a diffrent light!by Another_StatisticComment: The intent is understood, but the whites are right at the margins of being overdone. A slightly different angle or even a little under exposure would have helped a lot. From a composition standpoint, its very creative and it's impact is terrific - its the technicals that distort the impact. |

The lost seasonby tnemesComment: Well, I'm not sure about this at all - it's clearly outside the challenge specifications as the Nerf football isn't a flower, but the piece of deadwood is - in a sense. I can't rate it because I'm not at all sure of the author's intent.
On second thought, I am going to rate it - low unfortunately. |

Lambs Ear Trioby klkitchensComment: The rather odd edge lighting is a distracting from an otherwise great image. A little softer light would have made this a terrific conversion. Just a touch too much illumination. |

Easy being Greenby supacohenComment: I don't think the green to yellow transitions are s good as they could be. Perhaps backing off on the focal length would have helped - it just seems overdone and not as subtle as they should be. |
