P R I C K L E by hotpastaComment: Abstractly abstract in an abstract genre of abstract photography bordering on abstract art imparting an abstract feel with abstract color blending imparting abstract texture. Can you smell what the commenter is cooking? :>)
A brilliant image and if this commentator had anything to say about it, would win a blue ribbon hands down - no competition. Brilliantly executed and concieved. What an image. Unfortunate that it can't be rated 10++. |

Creeping up on youby JaimeVinasComment: Simply beautiful - plenty of detail and the subtle contrast with the background is perfect. A demonstration of how the combination of texture and color work in the natural world. This could have gone very wrong, but instead it went exactly right. A sure fire top ten contender and very possibly a ribbon winner. Well done. |

thawby kolasiComment: A little less foreground and more concentration on the building and colors would have been a much better choice given the challenge subject. The foreground lacks detail that it should have given how the image was composed and shot. |

Blossomby mcrochipComment: The image could be a little more dramatic. It's composed well enough and the subject is clear and detailed, but it's not close enough to really impact the viewer and the DOF is too detailed to allow the subject to jump out at you. If the author intended to use the background as a texture, a little different angle would have been a better choice. Alternatively, little more focus would have helped this image score higher. A good, solid entry into the challenge. |

Mossy railby nzbayleysComment: The image could be a little more dramatic. A little more focus would have helped this image score higher. A different DOF treatment would have been a better choice in that more avlinear approach to DOF either from the foreground to the background or vice versa may have been better. A good, solid entry into the challenge. |

Nature's Stigmaby zohar-halfonComment: The author has chosen a interesting subject and it almost works - very abstract and different. A little more focus would have helped this image score higher with it's combination of detail and blank space. A good, solid entry into the challenge. |

The Last Strawby SlammerComment: An interesting choice for meeting the subject challenge. The image could be a little more dramatic. A little more focus would have helped this image score higher. The slight offset is a plus, but the background distracts from the natural texture of the hay bale. A good, solid entry into the challenge. |
