A different portrait and lighted in a unique way, this image clearly meets the challenge criteria. Intense and purposeful, it conveys an impression of thought and concentration that has been unmatched so far in comparision to other lighted portraits in the challenge. With no major issues, this is an excellant entry and should place in the top ten if not a ribbon winner.

A very inventive look at the nature of lighting and creative in setting the mood of the subject and model. A good demonstration of how lighting is properly use to create an effect in a creative way. No major issues with eithr the concept or execution of the composition, this image should place well by being colorful with all technical apsects of lighting controlled and used properly. A top ten image.

A very clever use of lighting to create a stereoscopic effect with light and shadow. Sometimes it's better to rate an image rather than looks for flaws and this is one of those times. Well designed, inventive and a clear match for the challenge criteria - a top ten image if not a ribbon winner. Well done.

More of a lighted shot than a creative use of lighting, this image falls short of meeting the challenge criteria in several ways. While the image may have been validated, it is still clear by the presence of the halo around the heart in addition to it's offset placement that this is an addition to the image which is outside the parameters of the challenge rules. Having said that, it is a very effective image from a composition standpoint and clever in several ways and would have worked well in any other competition. Given that the image has been validated, this reviewer has no other choice but to give the image it's proper placement in rating it.
