The Providerby JuliBocComment: Another highly detailed and technically perfect image. Beauty, grace and style in a motion capture that would is the envy of many photographers. An image suitable for Aududon in any format. Well done. |

Eagle in the Skyby CraftyComment: Not quite to the same level of expertise as some of the other avian images in this challenge, the image is technically flawed in a couple of ways being over sharpened in addition to a difficult lighting situation leading to rather flat and dull coloring. The blank sky also enhances these two problems and makes the over sharpening stand out (as evidenced by the slight halo surrounding the bird). A good effort that might have been improved with a little more patience waiting for a different angle and lighting. |

Eight feet highby BrennanOBComment: Eadweard Muybridge in 1872 settled a bet on whether a horse ever has all four feet off the ground at the same time. This is a perfect example of that which is still argued today. A richly detailed and dramatic image, this demonstrates the beauty, grace and style of a running horse in the Sport of Kings. Unfortunately, the image appears to be over saturated and over sharpened - the author would have done well to turn down the color intensity and allowed the image to speak for itself without sharpening. A worthy entry into the challenge, a little less post processing would have made this a top ten image and a potential ribbon winner. |

Jump Catchby TomsPhotosComment: A little more exposure control would have made this image a potential top ten contender if not a ribbon. A great action/motion shot, it appears to be a little flat and duller than it should be. No technical issues to mention, the artistic success is also affected negatively by the flat color. A good entry into the challenge. |

National Leapfrog Championsby LydiaComment: Initially, this image failed to completely impress, but on a third viewing, it would appear that the initial impression was incorrect. This is one of those images that require more than one view to properly assess because of it's very nature - a macro shot with a rather plain background and lack of motion inviting closer inspection. However on review, the details pop out - nice and rich with excellant exposure and color control. There are not any technical issues and while it failed to impress initially, it is a complete artistic success. Originally rated an 8, it it rerated a 9. Well done. |

Fancy Flightby KelliComment: Abstract in it's execution, there are two ways to view this image - negatively in the sense that it's undetailed and in no way, from a strict interpretation standpoint, indicates motion or the effects of motion. On the other hand, it's very abstract nature is indicative of motion and the colors and motion blue give it a certain feel, as it related to the challenge subject, that is a plus. In this kind of quandry, and given this reviewer's propensity to positively rate abstract images, the benefit of the doubt goes to the author. The blend of color and background are complimentary which is an artistic plus and can be viewed as a technical plus. Not necessarily to everyone's taste, this might break into the top twenty and possibly the top fifteen images if the commenters and reviewers give it chance by understanding the nature of impressionist imagery. |

it was this bigby steve100Comment: Another highly detailed and technically perfect image, although it would do with a little more cropping on the right - that would be a personal choice however and as it is, it's wonderful. Beauty, grace and style in a capture that would is the envy of many photographers. An image suitable for Aududon in any format. Well done. |
