Swanning Aroundby nickybComment: Sometimes the little things attract the eye and detract from the overall impact of the imagery. This is beautiful, but incomplete - meaning that the tail of the swan is cutoff and that disturbs the overall impact of the image. Other than that, it is simply gorgeous and technically perfect. |

"Meet Your Maker"by nstevens85Comment: If the author was going for an unsettling image, it makes it's point. I like the technique and I like the way the image was composed - I don't like the concept. Just being honest. I'm not anti-gun - quite the opposite in fact, but I am a combat veteran (Vietnam '67/'69) and "meeting your maker" has a meaning to me that isn't pleasant. But evaluation depends on more than just a dislike for the title - technically, it is a good image - I like the use of bokeh. |

Pre-Owned Buickby MrJearComment: Took me three tries, but I finally got the idea - D'Oh!! I like it. There are a couple of little odd technical things like the greens are a little - well greener than one would expect. That may be a function of the blue car - can't tell for sure. A good solid entry. |

Exertionby HOOMANComment: I know where the author was going with this in particular with the large black background in trying to emulate dark mines and the effort of pushing a carrier, etc. I don't think it quite pulls it off though - maybe a little more lighting would have helped or softer highlights would have been better - I can't say for sure. However, the image matches the title so that's a plus. Could have used a little more thought in terms of composition. |

Bun in the Ovenby SwordandScalesComment: Very amusing - clever idea. There are a whole list of interesting concepts here and even though the image isn't perfect, the composition is nothing short of brilliant. Just take a look at the imagery and you'll see what I mean. Most excellent. Well done. |

Stepping Stone by alexlkyComment: Oh - I like this one. Great image - great title and the image matches perfectly. Definitely a top ten image and certainly top five if I were to guess. Worthy of consideration for winner. I can't say enough positive things. Well done. |

Alice fell asleepby Alex_PetriniComment: I just have one nit pick and it may be a choice by the author, but I feel that the flesh tones are washed out - need a little more intensity. Minor nit pick though - the concept works and the image is just fine. Well done. |

Not the sharpest knife in the drawerby giantmikeComment: I was wondering when this one would come it - it was inevitable. I like the reverse resolution from foreground to background and the tonality of the image is very nice. Well done. |
