I think the border lets this one down a little, the shot is quite dark and moody then you have this harsh white border which actually makes it harder to look at the shot itself!

There seems to be some processing or effect here which has removed a lot of detail and for me ruined the shot. I would also like to see just a touch more detail in the eyes.

There's some strange unnatural colours here, the reflection of the moon, the almost luminous green of the grass. It's also lacking any real subject. I get the idea of the reflection in parallel with the path, but it's not enough to make the shot on it's own.

I just came across this, it's the first time I saw it and I think it's an amazing shot! Had I voted on this I would probably have given it an 8 or 9, with the only points deducted for being the slightly weird distorted look on the upper left hand side.

I love the framing and the expression on the face is great, there's a good mix of cute with the ferocity of him eating at the same time.

I think you probably knew when you entered this it would score low, but I'm surprised you didn't get more comments on it!

I've often thought it would be nice to wake up to a blue ribbon, though perhaps not in this sense.

Nice shot, but it kinda feels like the whole lot is hovering, particularly the cereal box. I think given the 'breakfast table' type idea, it might have been nice to actually have a visible surface.

This is a really nice portrait, great expression and posing. Unfortunately I can't score it highly because there isn't a single ribbon in sight, never mind a DPC one (I see the blue but to me that's a flower)!

You certainly have the lot in here! I like the irony of the DPC clichés with the dead looking flower. The shot itself is fairly unappealing, mostly down to the harsh lighting and flat looking colours, and I'm wondering if you did that intentionally for the irony.
