Spyderby izadoodleComment: I never find flora to be the best subject for B&W, and particularly not low key. I always feel that the colours are too vibrant and rich to be converted to B&W and it just leaves the shots feeling lacklustre. |

Champby VitaminBComment: Very well done. You have managed to do here what a lot of the shots have missed, and that is make effective use of the black space! Very well composed and lit, like it a lot! |

Just an orange trying to stay low key...by santiago9erComment: Heh, like the title, and the concept as well, but it's a little let down by the lighting for me. I do like the fade to black on the left side, but the harsh white spot on the orange takes a lot away. |

Magical Manhattan Beach Pierby martinsphotoboxComment: Nice effect with the lights, but I don't think there's enough overall interest in the visible details to justify all the black area. I know the idea is low key, but I think for it to work the darkness has to add to the shot, and here it just feels like extra space. |

Hello Darkness My Old Friendby mkalandrosComment: Not really a low key look for me, it's more black on black done in black and white. The shot itself while being sharp and clear, doesn't have too much to hold my attention. |

love revisitedby cutoutComment: Very interesting abstract shot. I think I would like it more if it wasn't for the line down the right hand side because apart from that everything is very smooth and airy, but the line lies in contrast to that being straight and defined.
I feel I can make out three faces in the top of the white region, but it's not quite clear if that's what it is, so it keeps me looking and wondering. |

Taurusby Yo_SpiffComment: Very nice colours and lighting here, I love the fact that you can just make out the outline but there is still enough important details there. |

moonlightby Shutter-For-HireComment: Nicely done, it's like something straight out of a classic movie! The rain in the headlights make this shot, and the overall mood you have captured is great. |

ant-agonyby LevTComment: Funny, I had the initial same reaction to this, that she seemed to be struggling to push the bike up the hill but i actually thought the scene was flat. Only after reading through the other comments did I see that it was in fact a very steep hill! It is indeed a disorienting shot! |

by MephistoComment: Only after looking at this for a while did I notice the road running off into the distance. Once I saw that the shot took on a whole different meaning, and it told me a story of him stopping there for a breath before setting out again on a long journey. |
