This is very nice and was actually something I was going to try myself, but unfortunately I can't bake, and probably wouldn't have done as good a job with the shot as you did anyway!

Even with the title I don't really see how this meets the challenge.

Nicely composed and well lit, it's the kind of thing you expect to see on the front of a Christmas card.

While it's an interesting idea neither the foreground or background are in focus, the circles of light which I assume are Christmas lights actually look a little like a bacteria sample under a microscope.

I think this could have been better if something was in focus.

Good shot of the moon, though without the subject would have absolutely no relevance to the theme.

Nice but could have done with a touch more detail, perhaps a very light fill flash to bring out a little more detail in the decoration.

First Star I See Tonight

This is a nice shot with some great colours and general good exposure. One thing that is very distracting is the object two thirds along the horizon. I can't make out what it is, which is just annoying and takes away from an otherwise good shot.

As far as meeting the challenge, I appreciate there is a star, but it feels more like "squeezing it in" to make it fit :)

This is an interesting subject, but I feel you could have improved it with a change of composition. The stars are attractive so it would be nice to have them all completely in the frame but as it stands you actually don't have single complete one there. Also, some of the shot is out of focus, which doesn't really help here, a bit more DOF could have made it better.

This is a nice idea, but there are a couple of aspects that take away from it. The brightest area is out of focus and that's where my attention's drawn to, meaning my initial reaction to the shot isn't great, it might have been better if you either changed the focal point or changed where the light was coming through.

The other thing is that there's a lot of texture here, but the colours aren't particularly attractive, perhaps a high contrast B&W would have made it much better, just an idea.

This is a nice shot and I like the reflections. I'm not sure how much the tree adds to it, I think it could be better with just the bridge as it is attractive enough on it's own.
