The Secret Gardenby lunachickenComment: I don't know how this relates to the book. I like the reflection of the little boy in the dark room, and I don't know if you could have shot this at a different angle, but the composition seems a little off to me. I do like the B&W conversions too.

Kafka's "The Castle"by RyanWComment: I like the composition of the image. I like the reflection of the other building in it.
Too bad this didn't say Enron in front of it. Acting like a well oiled machine, but shredding paperwork to appear that way.

Slaughterhouse-Fiveby mrbig65Comment: I read the story plot, and I just don't see the connection to the story. I don't think the grain does anything to improve the image...maybe it gives the WWII newspaper feel or something. Just not an appealing image to me.

The Secret Gardenby giantmikeComment: Just seems like a picture in a park. Nothing secret or magical about it to me. It is a nice photo, but it doesn't make me feel anything. I particularly like the lighting on the leaves in the tree.

The Bell Jarby grahamgatorComment: I like the idea of the image. The one distractor for me is the reflection in the jar. Maybe a portrait shot and a little closer may have made this a better image. I would like to see more detail in the butterfly.

Go tell it to the mountain ~ James Baldwinby NeatComment: I like the color in the photo and the cold feeling from it. Not sure what the book is about, but you obviously hit the literal translation of mountain. I don't see any telling though.

Damn Dust - The Grapes of Wrath by RmacComment: Looks like an image from the Grapes of Wrath. I like the lighting and the overall brightness of the photo. Nice composition.
