I tacked a piece of blue photographic background paper to the fence as a temporary background. The ISO was very high (ISO 1600) to get 1/2000 sec shutter speed and that is why it is grainy. I kind of like it in way sort of like playing the old LPs and listening to the crackling noise of the stereo needle if you know what I mean :) It gives it the old feeling of high ISO/grain film.

Very nice! I love shooting hummingbirds (with my camera, of course :-D). The solid blue bg is very nice here; the stop-action perfect; and the shape of the feeder makes this interesting as well. Great shot!
