Do more night shots!by RHoldenSrComment by NovaTiger: ...and you should, too. This is a good one. It's kind of annoying that the shore makes the photo feel slightly tilted, but I realize that the shore is not the horizon (which IS straight). As it were, the reflections being straight help to counter that illusion. Good job. |

Do more night shots!by RHoldenSrComment by helgihelgi: More night shots definitely, but less colored borders! This would look pretty slick without the border, and another suggestion would be to include either more water or more sky, to avoid placing the horizon so close to the middle of the frame. |

Do more night shots!by RHoldenSrComment by L1: This is beautiful. I love the depth of the colors and the border is just right. Gorgeous symmetry. Well done! :o) |

1332-16x24-250-PF-S7W.jpgby RHoldenSrComment by RHoldenSr: Thanks!
This is one of the first shots that I was learning PS CS on :)
I want to go back and try to create some great posters of the shot.

009.jpgby RHoldenSrComment by RHoldenSr: Thank you!
I have this feeder hanging right outside the garden window. I dropped the top window down and was photographing the young hummingbird very close. Next summer I hope to improve the setting and get some more shots of these beautiful creatures. I will miss them very much over what hopefully will be a short winter :)

006.jpgby RHoldenSrComment by RHoldenSr: Thanks for making it one of your favorites :)
The 006.jpg is the original version I first posted to Pbase and DPC. The other is an updated version I was working on. I tried to enrich the colors to make it look a little more vibrant.
I have this printed at 8x12 and matted it looks nice!
Originally posted by Jinjit: You have another version of this picture, with a little bit different lighting (or is it some better PS contrast and levels?)
Anyway, it's been one of my favorites for a long time!
Great shot!
