More sharpness would make the shot more interesting. The angle of the shot is fairly interesting, but needs more to keep your eyes looking at the shot. Maybe a brighter light coming from one direction would help give off a more vivid shadow on the table. I see a pretty good shadow there already, but it needs to be punched up a bit.

You have a neat idea here, but I find the angle odd and the background counter distracting. If this were on a black background/backdrop and you were looking at it head on -- you'd have it nailed. This angle makes me feel like I am going to get a stiff neck.

Looks very much like a snapshot. General out of focusness, although maybe that's what you were going for. Try experimenting with different angles, and filling the frame.
