Stairway of Dreamsby TooCoolComment by C-town driver: Beautiful shot. It has a very ethereal (sp?) effect to it. The color saturation and textures are brilliant. Not sure how "unusual" the view point is, but it still works for me.... 8 |

Forgotten Benchby TooCoolComment by jus6681: The bench doesn't grab my eye initially, the bush to the left does, thus not being centered subject. I see what you're going for though. |

Where's the breeze?by TooCoolComment by faidoi: The warm skin tone and the bright colored makes this shot very interesting.
The subject seems to be framed within a frame by the way the window is open and helps to focus ones eyes on the girl. The horizontal elements of the siding on the house also bring your eyes to the subject.
I can't help also to like the reflection of the outside on the upper part of the window. Your also using the rule of thirds.
This picture works incredibly well on so many level. This is like a lesson in compositioning. If this is your first candid I can't wait for your next effort. Message edited by author 2004-05-22 03:52:38. |

Forgotten Benchby TooCoolComment by drgsoell: I like the tone and warmth of the picture. Unfortunately, the contrast between the bench and surroundings make it almost disappear (which may be the effect you wnat to go with the title). |

Forgotten Benchby TooCoolComment by awpollard: I like the shot the tones and composition are terriffic. I think it is just a little too busy for this challenge. There are a lot of things going on. My eyes seem to wander between the different bushes and the bench. Awesome shot though, I love the detail that you captured on the bush to the right and behind the bench. |

Forgotten Benchby TooCoolComment by BobsterLobster: Bit of an overdose of sepia here... too much red or magenta. Good sepia effects are usually quite subtle. Compositionally there is so much texture here, it is hard to know what to focus on. Maybe colour would have been better. |

Forgotten Benchby TooCoolComment by cghubbell: I'd like to see the point of view moved to the left so I see more of the bench and it's in less competition with the flower. |
