Rock Stackingby DistinctiveImageryComment by MelonMusketeer: I know that you can't always be at the scene when the light is right, however, I feel that this would look better at the opposite time of day, when the sun is behind you for the shot. If this was an evening shot, a short time later, and the sky would even out, as well as possibly allowing you to get more detail in the rocks in the foreground.
Another option would be to shoot from a different angle, but that would mess up the composition, so you did what you could.
The 5D is an outstanding camera. Keep shooting and posting. You have a good attitude, and you see the picture that you want.
If you post the shooting info with the images, it will sometimes help with commenting to know the ISO, aperture and shutter speed for the shot.

It is Doneby DistinctiveImageryComment by MelonMusketeer: This may be a little better if the bottom is trimmed off a bit. That would direct the attention more to the subject and the sky above.
Having the limb in the corner adds to the photo. |

Engine Troubleby DistinctiveImageryComment by LadyK: i really like this, great color and textures. only problem is the graininess of the sky. you can fix that by using a tripod so you can kick the shutterspeed and ISO down a few clicks. |

Rock Stackingby DistinctiveImageryComment by sherpet: I really like the colots here. Just a little advise from someone who's had been there. Watch your horizons, and make sure they are level, as if they are slanted in any way, it make the lmage out of alignment. |
