Wow, love the range of warm tones of reds, golds, and oranges the pop off the shadow blacks in this photo. The sculpted sand cave walls undulate like that of ocean waves. Movement and color beautifully captured in nature.

I love the colours and the perspective here. The yellow/orange plays nicely off the blue. In addition, the border you created on the top and bottom is very good.

I can't help but wonder if your image was perceived by the voters as unsharp or lacking detail. It's tough to get much depth of field when you're shooting so close, and it looks like you were already using a fairly slow shutter speed. Looking through your portfolio, you obviously have a grasp on macro photography, so I don't need to go into detail there.

I like this one alot better, The textures really grab your eye now, the only thing I would try would be to burn the extreme foreground area to see what that looks like, I will try my hand at it and share with you my idea.

Good solid image of the Grand Canyon, has great depth and detail in it. But its just missing something to keep the attention and want me to keep investigating the photo further.
