this is insect macro at its finest ..
and i'm blown away by your equipment .. the 70-200 .. didnt know you could get as close with that lens .. i know you have cropped tho ..
i'm also loving the way everything works in this .. the depth of field so PERFECT .. all the details on the grasshopper and the leaves in the background like a beautiful soft dreamy backdrop ..
this is absolutely BEAUTIFUL .
and OMG .. hitting an 8 in this day and age is like amazing .. but really this totally deserves it .. :)

ps .. he is very very cute ..
i think you should print this .. i have been pushing for ppl to put pics of insects on their walls .. insects are the most wonderful creatures .. and should adorn every home .. !! .. ;)
