"Dragonfly Qigong"by jomernerComment by JulietNN: Hi from the C Club
Well, wow, I loved this shot and gave it an 8 when in voting. Here are the reasons why.
It is an outstanding shot, the crispness is defined in the wings, the clarity is excellent, your bokeh is smooth as butter and compliments the dragon flys well.
My only nitpick was the DOF, maybe just a tweak of the contrast would have given it a deeper feeling. Maybe pushing those greens to a darker colour would have helped.
Other than that, spot on shot!!! Do it again! |

Oops!by jomernerComment by PenelopeK: Great idea and I love the reflections. The focus seems slightly off however, with the sharpest area being on the white cap rather than on the drop of spilled nail polish. |

Down by the Riverby jomernerComment by JulietNN: Hi from the CC Club,
What an Amazing capture, this is once in a life time shot! WOW
Now I have got over my wowness, lets get down to some PP work.
A crop to on the right hand side quite tightly to the Heron and a little more off the top would have drawn more attention to your bird and raccoon.
the back ground is very bright, so with this cropping it would eliminate some of this
Some sharpness in PP would have helped, a little dodge and burn on the coon would have highlighted him some more and made him stand out just a little more.
Play with the saturation sponge a little on the bird, see what happens
'
I am so impressed with this shot, it is a keeper. well done!
