I was down at the river very early in the morning. I first saw the blue heron standing in the shallows. I waded down the river, praying I wouldn't slip and drop my camera, I couldn't believe how close he let me get. Next thing I know, this baby racoon comes into the river and walks right in front of the heron. Two minutes later two deer come out of the woods and into the river. Unfortunately I couldn't capture them all together. Technically I'm sure there is plenty wrong with my photo, but it makes me happy, as it was such a fun morning.

Hi from the CC Club,

What an Amazing capture, this is once in a life time shot! WOW

Now I have got over my wowness, lets get down to some PP work.

A crop to on the right hand side quite tightly to the Heron and a little more off the top would have drawn more attention to your bird and raccoon.

the back ground is very bright, so with this cropping it would eliminate some of this

Some sharpness in PP would have helped, a little dodge and burn on the coon would have highlighted him some more and made him stand out just a little more.

Play with the saturation sponge a little on the bird, see what happens

I am so impressed with this shot, it is a keeper. well done!

6 - Nice little scene. 720 would have helped you if the quality was there. It is also too centered for me, likely more room (of course if you had it) to the left and slightly tighter on the right would have given this a compositional edge. Be nice to see more detail on the 'coon, but difficult, especially when he/she is scurrying along rocks over water. I like that the heron doesn't seem too phased and that they both have their own agendas.
