Sailing into Historyby mirdonamyComment by Keith Maniac: cool boat, and great example of low tech, but to me this photo has a "snapshot" feel to it. maybe a different angle or tighter crop on the boat would be better. also, the lighting isn't so great. it would be better if sunlight was shining on the boat, or if the boat was backlit so that it appeared in silhouette. just my opinion. |

Sailing into Historyby mirdonamyComment by Bud: The thumbbnail of this is awesome... I was a little dissappointed to see that it is a bit out of focus. Great idea. |

Sailing into Historyby mirdonamyComment by Prof_Fate: Really cool shot. If onlt you could have moved the tug! The sky and masts are fantastic, the hull less so. I tried playing with it (using //davegage.com/mmc/digi-darkroom.html Shudder Sharpening) and can make it more dramatic and help the waterline abit, but not sure if it is better or not - very much a judgement call. Seems a bit hazy or ? |

Sailing into Historyby mirdonamyComment by tyt2000: hmmm, probably some sharpening would have made this look better? and a duotone would have made it more interesting, but thats just my taste :) |

Eroding Sunsetby mirdonamyComment by e301: A slightly too lengthy exposure? Only slightly - just enough for the water to seem not properly focussed: not enough to be blurred exactly, but certainly without the crispness of sharp focus. As the rock silhouette seems OK, it almost has to be motion blur. I'm also not sure about the way you've placed the horizon relative to the rocks. |
