There is something truly beautiful about a sailing vessel. Great subject. |

Nice idea. While I sort of like the soft pastel look here, it seems to me this is "underprocessed"; it might be improved by using USM to sharpen it a bit, upping the saturation slightly, applying levels or boosting contrast a bit, and possibly cropping to get the boat out of horizontal center. Where to crop is a little issue: it wold be nice to have only this boat in the shot, but to get rid of the tug would require cropping too tightly on the tall ship. Still, this is advanced editing, and a crop with a little "removal" might have been a good idea. Or more simply, you could try cropping on the left. After the challenge, if you want, I'd be happy to help you play with this a bit. |

A very moving shot with a sky that adds untold interest. The rigging looks great but the hull could use more definition. Regardless, a good image. 7 |

cool boat, and great example of low tech, but to me this photo has a "snapshot" feel to it. maybe a different angle or tighter crop on the boat would be better. also, the lighting isn't so great. it would be better if sunlight was shining on the boat, or if the boat was backlit so that it appeared in silhouette. just my opinion. |

The thumbbnail of this is awesome... I was a little dissappointed to see that it is a bit out of focus. Great idea. |

I like this shot but may have more with less of the dock in the right foreground. Good luck on this very fitting challenge submission. |

Really cool shot. If onlt you could have moved the tug! The sky and masts are fantastic, the hull less so. I tried playing with it (using //davegage.com/mmc/digi-darkroom.html Shudder Sharpening) and can make it more dramatic and help the waterline abit, but not sure if it is better or not - very much a judgement call. Seems a bit hazy or ? |

hmmm, probably some sharpening would have made this look better? and a duotone would have made it more interesting, but thats just my taste :) |

This is beautiful. It's too bad the view of the bow is obstructed. |
