The vase is a failed student piece. My daughter made it whilst at college. She wanted to throw it out years ago but I liked the shape and held onto it. Originally it was yellow, white and purple striped and badly smudged, as well as having slumped during firing. I spray painted it black, but I'm annoyed with myself for not photographing it first. (Oh, and I have plenty of nice things she made too.)
