The First Hot Dayby jomariComment by PenelopeK: Love the spontaneity captured, and the broad arrowhead created by the waves.
For some reason I'm feeling a slightly Norman Rockwell vibe. Perhaps it's something about the processing or the way the mother is holding the child's hand and the curve of each of their arms... Lots to enjoy here. |

The First Hot Dayby jomariComment by ubique: Never mind the quality, feel the width! It's an unmistakably Aussie scene, Mom's hat is the clincher. I'm not used to seeing beach scenes as squares, but this shows how little I know. Thank you. |

The First Hot Dayby jomariComment by streetpigeon: Charming pastel impressionistic image. The breaking wave forms a nice diagonal in the background. I guess Mom's pony tail is cinched with a white scrunchie, otherwise she's being assaulted by a cuttlefish. |

The First Hot Dayby jomariComment by posthumous: a square can be quite static, so it benefits from a lot of energy, which you provide with the wedge of the incoming wave and the active figures. well done. |
