I love chili peppers of all kinds, this is a lovely shot, almost a product shot. My fav is chipotle peppers, put some of those in the hash browns this morning...yum! nice job in PP.

This is sweet! I enjoy shooting places like this at sunset. I like the cloud reflections in the water in this image. I generally try to also shoot a very wide shot or two in every sunset session, even going vertical if necessary in order to get some of the sky with blue in it to contrast with the firey sky parts of the image. There are many times that the best photos are 20 to 30 minutes after the actual sunset, so I keep shooting even though the air is full of mosquitoes to get those shots.
This place looks like a place where I would feel right at home.

I agree about the frame, but only as far as the effect is concerned. The color is a nice match to the photo. Looks like a little color NR would help. But otherwise, its a nice focus from the original.

I agree with nshapiro. The cropped version is a huge improvement, but I dont like the border. You changed a busy shot into a nice simple shot with your crop.

Actually, if you want to be entirely accurate, sediment is "born" in all the rivers of the land and carried to the ocean, where it is then deposited around the beaches of the world. The ocean refines it more, certainly, but it's not really the birth-place ;)

Having said that, it's not like it's a score-changing thing, but the fact that there is so very little sand and that your photo relies on the landscape at large for its impact is.
