Simulated-Wildflower.jpgby jomariComment by fldave: What a nice "simulated flower" you captured. We see these in the States every July 4th. And so sorry about your heat wave. This is your summer, isn't it? |

Jubilee-Lake-duck.jpgby jomariComment by MaryO: How very odd! I've seen some interesting ducks hanging out with Mallards who look to be some sort of cross between domestic and wild breeds. As if identifying ducks wasn't hard enough sometimes when they're "purebreds"! |

_Jubilee-Lake-duck-2.jpgby jomariComment by SaraR: What a funny little tuft this duck has, rather like a pom-pom stuck on the back of it's head. Seeing the variety of wildlife from parts of the world I am never likely to visit is one of the things I enjoy aboiut this side challenge. |

Reflecting on The Flight From Pompeii.by jomariComment by GeneralE: A brilliantly-executed "natural composite" image -- you'd have to work really hard to assemble something like this in Photoshop. :-)
The blending of interior and exterior elements is perfect, and it has just the right feeling of fantasy to match the subject matter. |

IMG_1068-Corellas.jpgby jomariComment by SaraR: I can imagine a flock of these would be pretty noisy! I can't quite imagine finding flocks of these in the wild, although apparently there are a couple of small colonies of them near London, which have resulted from escaped pets! Considering that you were stretching the capabilities of your camera for this shot, you came out with a photo that was certainly worth posting. |
