These birds make me smile every time I see a picture of them - they look so unlikely with their big heads, stocky bodies and short tails. A very clear photo with plenty of detail - but perhaps 'Kookaburra lives in the old aerial' doesn't have quite the same ring as 'Kookaburra lives in the old gum tree' - that said, if you get any more photos please post them!

The bottom one has quite the stern expression! : ) I might have cropped a bit off the bottom, but other than that I really like this. Even though they're in the reeds, you can still see them very clearly.

I love the color of the water. I know it's a gray-ish color, but it almost seems to have a purple cast which makes me think of a calm summer evening, just after sunset!

I love how the dark mane and tale with the dark legs make the lighter body pop out on the horse on the left. WOW - this is really beautiful.
