Nap timeby mbrutus2009Comment by bobnospum: Nice image. I like all the black/white tones. Not sure a letterbox border here does much except distract me from looking at the fine photo. |

volleyballby mbrutus2009Comment by bassbone: Some nice action shots in this set. But I would watch your white balance - these really are strongly on the yellow side. This is very typical in gymnasiums like this, so I would recommend adjusting your w/b setting to match the lighting (fluorescent) or bring a gray card so you can set it manually in the gym before the event. |

Help out a little more. by mbrutus2009Comment by CNovack: Glad to see that another photo from the GTG did so well in this challenge. It is a very well composed shot Marko. I like your shot of this homeless man and his dog more than mine - reason being that you captured the receiving cup along side with the help sign, the man is looking up so that the viewer can more easily establish eye contact (you get the sense of actually being there to see him asking for help rather than in mine where it just feels you are just observing from afar), and the sepia processing is very well done to call even more attention to the subjects without the distraction of color. |
