Some nice energy and color play. I enjoy the sense of movement, but the crop leaves me a little wanting. This is desperately crying for more of a panoramic type view, but alas, DPC isn't the friendliest showcase for panoramic type shots, I know.

One thing I would have done is left out the title. It clues the viewer into what your subject is, and tends to ruin the abstract feel a little.

i used my sigma 17-70 that has a closeup feature that lets you get right up to the subject and focus. this shot is hand held and i was kneeling on some gravel so was a bit difficult to keep a steady hand on this one. i was trying to focus on the stamens but it didnt quite turn out that way.

Very good color and a nice capture of the coming of spring. What lens are you using for these? Is this handheld or tripod? I ask because while I don't mind the shallow DOF, I'm not quite seeing where you wanted to focus in this one.
