This was my favorite in the challenge. Admittedly, I didn't view all the images and didn't get a chance to get back to it, so I gave it a nine on my first pass. I think it sets up a wonderful story and allows me to fill in the blanks. The whole scene is just so interesting and ripe with possibility! The lines here work wonderfully for you. The only rough spot in the photo is that stupid globulous bush, but its shape and color is echoed by the car so it is tempered a little. The eye pretty much ignores it anyway - the colors of the man's shirt, his roses, the barber poles, really pulls the eye back into the action. It's like that song - "Anticipation. It's making me wait." I know something is going to happen so I sit and watch... Love this, thanks for sharing!

Flowers for the barber? I like the subject but I am not sure whether the car and the glimpse of the neighbourhood add or detract from the shot. I wonder if cropping/framing so to only include the guy and the barber shop might have worked better.
