I gave this one a 6. Yes, its slightly too busy. But also I would have voted higher if it was perhaps taken closer to sunrise or sunset, because the lighting is rather harsh. Great use of framing though =)

Nice natural framing around your main subject. For some reason however it doesn't give me a feeling of the past, did they really have those boats back in 1927?

This is very nice. The flowers, trees, green grass, blue sky all frame the boat racing across the water. All portray summer perfectly to me. Also very nicely balanced. 10

Picture is very busy. Love the way you were able to capture the speedboat. The white boat and the wake brings your eyes right toward the center of the picture. This photo is oozing with summer. The beautiful flowers, the greenish of the land, and people having fun on the water. Great shot.
